How do I care for my trampoline?Updated a year ago
By following these tips, you can ensure that your trampoline remains in excellent condition for years to come, providing a classic backyard treasure for your family.
Maintenance Checks:
- Always inspect the trampoline before each use and replace any worn, defective, or missing parts.
- Check for wear and tear on all parts.
- Check the springs and springless bands and replace if your notice any damage or loosen springs.
- Check for rust and clean off any surface rust with a wire brush and recoat with rust resistance paint. Areas with higher moisture or salt content are more prone to experience rust on the metal.
- If the trampoline will not be used for a period of time, try to keep it under cover or dismantle parts of the trampoline that are more prone to wear from the sun E.g. Safety net, safety pads, jumping mat.
- Check hardware and re-tighten where necessary.
Tips:
- Ensure that shoes are taken off when inside the trampoline to avoid tearing the jumping mat.
- If you have a springless trampoline, keep the elastics away from direct light (the pads must cover them).
- When moving the trampoline have 2 or more people to lift and move and avoid dragging as this may damage the plastic feet.
- In windy weather, bring the trampoline under cover or remove the safety net and net poles. Safety net can act like a kite during windy weathers and may lift the trampoline or cause damage to the net poles from the movement.
